Another team will play with a substitute at ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023

ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023 faced significant visa-related issues, creating difficulties for several teams. This added to the already known situations, including the absence of M80's captain.

BESTIA lost two of their players due to visa problems. Similarly, Sebastian "volt" Malos from GamerLegion couldn't attend the tournament for the same reason. It was also reported that team TheMongolz barely managed to arrive in time for the tournament.

The situation for M80, the winner of the North America Open Qualifier, became more complicated. Their captain, Marcus "maNkz" Kjeldsen, will be late for the team's first match against Virtus.pro due to document issues. He will be replaced by Rory "dephh" Jackson. The former Complexity player last competed professionally in Counter-Strike in October 2019.

Complexity is also facing issues due to the absence of their coach, Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen, for personal reasons. He will be replaced by former Cloud9 coach James "JamezIRL" Macaulay.
