Virtus.pro easily defeated TYLOO in the opening match of Stage 1 at IEM Cologne 2025. The match ended with a score of 2:0 — on the maps Inferno (13:7) and Overpass (13:5).

The match was under Virtus.pro's complete control. On the first map — Inferno, chosen by TYLOO, Virtus.pro took the initiative from the start and didn't allow their opponent to develop their attack. Despite JamYoung's efforts, the Chinese team couldn't gain the necessary momentum. Ultimately, Virtus.pro won the first map with a score of 13-7. The second map, Overpass, was even easier: Virtus.pro executed an almost perfect defense, winning the first half 7:5, and then didn't drop a single round on the attack, finishing the game with a score of 13-5.

The MVP of the match — Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy became the best player of the match, finishing the series with 33 kills and 19 deaths. His ADR was 82.

For TYLOO, this defeat means a step into the lower bracket, where the team will continue to fight for survival in the tournament. In the lower bracket, they will face Complexity, who lost to GamerLegion in a parallel match.
