Valve recently updated the Competitive Cooldown Levels page in Counter-Strike 2, introducing stricter measures against substandard gameplay. This update now includes VAC restrictions for players displaying suspicious behavior or teaming up with such players.
Players flagged by the VAC for irregular gameplay will receive a minimum timeout of one day, which applies to all game modes. In addition, teammates of flagged players will also be subject to the same punishment, regardless of their current lockout status. This change is aimed at preventing cheating and ensuring fairer competitive play.
The new rules stipulate that a competitive cooldown cannot be removed once it has been imposed. The cooldown has four levels:
- First cooldown - lasts for 30 minutes
- Second cooldown - lasts for 2 hours
- Third cooldown - lasts 24 hours
- Foutrh cooldown - lasts for 1 week.
Each additional cooldown during the weekly probation period increases its severity, encouraging clean play. Once cooldown level four is exceeded, they require prolonged clean play to be reduced to level three.
