In the latest update for Counter-Strike 2, Valve has quietly introduced a new feature that has sparked a lot of community discussion. In addition to the standard bug fixes and minor updates, the game now includes a detector aimed at countering Razer's controversial Snap Tap feature available on the Huntsman V3 Pro keyboards.
Feature Addition Details
This was first reported by date miner Gabe Follower on his social media pages, “CS2 developers have added Razer's Snap Tap feature detector to the game.”

The Snap Tap feature, exclusive to certain Razer keyboards, allows players to prioritize registering the second directional key pressed, overriding the effect of the previous one. This provides an instant change of direction, eliminating the delay that typically occurs when streaming.
Feature Usage Statistics
At last year's BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024 of 80 players, 25 people used the feature. A detailed list can be found below:
- NIP: isak, alex, REZ
- Virtus Pro: n0rb3r7
- Cloud 9: Ax1Le
- Heroic: sAw, TeSeS, sjuush
- Complexity: Grim, floppy
- NAVI: jL
- FaZe: rain, frozen
- G2: NiKo, m0NESY
- Liquid: jks, YEKINDAR, ultimate
- Falcons: Magisk, snappi, maden
- Astralis: br0, stavn, dev1ce
- BIG: rigon
Players not in italics did not have overlapping entry ticks in all games. Players in italics either had a few games with zero overlapping input ticks, or had all of their games with near-zero overlapping input ticks. The average number of overlapping ticks for players who do not use Snap Tap is usually around 1000 ticks per card.
A lag or other error may allow some small number of overlapping ticks to slip through, even if the player is using Snap Tap.
Conclusion
Whether the feature will be blocked directly from Valve is unknown, so far this information as well as no official announcement has been made. Some believe that players will now be blocked for this feature.
