Using these binds to correct movement in CS2 will result in a ban in tournaments from ESL and ESEA

Today, North American Evil Geniuses head coach Joseph "muenster" Lima announced on his official Twitter that the tournament operator has banned players from using alias binds to normalize strafes in CS2 at their tournaments.

According to muenster he personally contacted ESL and they said they are banning players from using binds with alias to correct the strafes in CS2.

Previously, these drifts looked like this:

alias "_checkw" "-forward; alias checkw"alias "+w" "+forward; alias checkw _checkw"
alias "-w" "checkw"
bind "w" "+w"
alias "_checks" "-back; alias checks"
alias "+s" "+back; alias checks _checks"
alias "-s" "checks"
bind "s" "+s"

USING THESE BINDS WILL RESULT IN A BAN WHEN PLAYING ON ESL, EPT, ESEA, EPL

But here ESL has allowed other binds that are already in use without alias but carry the same effect:

bind "w" "+forward; clear"bind "s" "+back; clear"
bind "a" "+left; clear"
bind "d" "+right; clear"
bind "ctrl" "+duck; clear"
bind "shift" "+sprint; clear"

Recall that the game developers consider the game ready for the big cybersport and already on September 27 made the official release of CS2, thus ending the era of CS:GO!

The first tournament on CS:Strike 2 will start already on October 16, 2023, under the name - Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023!
