TSM Signs Women's CS Team Including Transgender Players

TSM, a notable North American esports organization, has expanded into the women's Counter-Strike scene by signing the entirety of the Shimmer lineup, which is made up with a majority of transgender players. This initiative marks TSM's first foray into competitive women's CS.

The roster is comprised of Marissa "madss" Dasta, Lucy "empathy" Verkaik, Lynn "Lx" Clarke, Abigail "abby" Deters, and Phoebe "phoebe" Winter, with Sebastian "Florence" Ogarev taking the role of coach. This team, previously known as Shimmer, managed to secure a 7-8th place finish at the ESL Impact League Season 4 Finals in December.

Set to make their debut under the TSM banner at the ESL Impact League Season 5 Finals, which will be held alongside IEM Dallas from May 31 to June 2, the team entered the event by finishing second in the North American division with a 6-1 record.

The announcement has received positive reactions from the community. Affinity, an esports host and caster, shared her pride in the team's long-term efforts and their new opportunity with TSM. DarfMike, a CS2 caster, commented on the significant talent within the roster and expressed excitement about their prospects with TSM's support.
