Tricked Esports, a Danish organization, has announced its bankruptcy, which is described as a heartbreaking story by its founder Morten Jensen. Information about Tricked's bankruptcy has been confirmed by Jensen himself in an interview with Dust2.dk. The organization was declared bankrupt in a bankruptcy court.
However, Tricked Esports was sold for a colossal 28 million Danish kroner, which was converted into actions of a new company in November 2022. The buyer was RightBridge Ventures company, which invests in companies involved in esports.
After a promising start of the Tricked project, expectations were high, but the situation changed dramatically when the company decided to lay off the initial team and continued to carry out mass layoffs among the remaining employees.
I just have to count myself among the people who find it strange that a company buys another company for 28 million Danish kroner less than six months ago and then declares bankruptcy. I still don't understand it. It's mega heart-wrenching if this is the end of what I started 11 years ago. I poured blood, sweat, and tears into it, and I have wonderful memories of Tricked. But most of all, I'm sad that I don't think the brand I created was given the proper treatment.Morten Jensen
Summing up the existence of Tricked Esports
Tricked Esports was founded in Denmark back in 2012. It is one of the organizations on the list that has played the most matches on HLTV, so it is also a historic organization that is now in the past. During its entire existence, the team was able to win $475,687!
The first lineup of the Tricked team looked like this:

With this lineup, the team was unable to achieve any decent placings at tournaments, and after numerous reshuffles and reorganizations, the first significant moment came at the eSports World Convention 2016, where the team placed 5-8th and earned $5,000 in prize money.

The team continued to develop, finding their "golden" lineup along the way, while also winning a sufficient number of tier-3 tournaments that allowed the organization to exist. The next important moment in the team's history was the local tournament called Copenhagen Games 2017. Tricked Esports performed quite well at this championship, taking 3-4th place and earning $5,300.
Later on, the team continued to win small tier-3 and tier-2 tournaments, while also playing on the tier-1 scene, but all to no avail until 2019. The first good result was at the Good Game League 2019 tournament, where they placed 2nd in the final, losing to G2 0-2. The team earned $22,541 in prize money!
The most significant victory for the team was their win at the V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2019, where they defeated Virtus.pro 2-0 in the final and took home $165,300!

Unfortunately, the organization's victories ended there. And until 2023, the team was unable to achieve any prize places at Tier-1 events.
