Another month of the professional season in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has come to a close. During this period, RMR tournaments were held before the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, and the IEM Rio 2023 took place. It is time to summarize the month and determine the best CS:GO player in April.
In forming the top, we analyzed the statistics of more than fifty esports players who played in the most important competitions of the month - the IEM Rio 2023 and RMR tournaments before the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. The calculation took into account the player's individual rating, average KDR, DPR and ADR values, as well as individual values (MVP and EVP) and prize places in these championships. Players were awarded points for each indicator, the sum of which affected the final position in the ranking.
About the Cover.gg Rating System
Evaluating a CS:GO player in a match is a challenging task since each round has its unique parameters, such as bomb plant or first kill. Therefore, the best solution is to calculate a player's rating in each individual round and obtain an overall score for the map.
We are confident that Cover.gg provides the most accurate rating, which allows for easy and convenient evaluation of each player's results in every round, map, and match. Additionally, this rating system considers indicators such as side, economy, and many other factors that were not previously taken into account. The maximum rating score is 10 points!

Top-10 CS:GO players of April 2023
#10. Martin stavn Lund
#9. William mezii Merriman
The only representative of Fnatic in our top is mezii. Merriman's performance in April is a rare case when a player who is also a team captain shows a fairly high level of Counter-Strike. Under his leadership, Fnatic successfully qualified for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 as "legends," which overshadows their 9-12th place finish at IEM Rio.
#8. Rasmus sjuush Beck
The eighth spot also goes to a Heroic player, sjuush this time. Beck had a mediocre performance at IEM Rio 2023, but he played incredibly well during the RMR tournament and became the best player on his team.
#7. Emil Magisk Reif
Magisk takes the seventh spot on the list of the best CS:GO players in April 2023. Regardless of Team Vitality's results, Reif consistently plays at a very high level and repeatedly appears in various top player lists. In this month, the puzzle came together - Vitality won IEM Rio and qualified for their home Major as "legends." What more could you want for happiness?
#6. Yuri yuurih Santos
Currently, FURIA Esports is the best team in the entire American region, as evidenced by their recent results - 5-6th place at the home championship IEM in Rio de Janeiro and first place at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: American RMR. As for the competition in Rio, FURIA became the only South American team to demonstrate decent CS. Yuri made a huge contribution to this, and his sixth place in our top list looks very well-deserved.
#5. Oleksandr s1mple Kostyliev
The top of five strongest pro-players in CS:GO is opened by the sniper of Natus Vincere - s1mple. The Ukrainian esports player is still far from his best playing form, but he is less nervous and more focused on Counter-Strike. NAVI are gradually finding their positions on the maps and regularly progressing. If Kostyliev and the company continue in the same vein, we will soon see a large number of incredible highlights from s1mple again, and the team's results will become even better.
#4. Kaike KSCERATO Cerato
KSCERATO is the main star of the South American CS:GO scene, not only on paper but in reality as well. His journey to becoming a professional player is simply incredible and it proves that hard work always pays off. Lately, various analysts increasingly claim that while playing for FURIA, Cerato is wasting his time and he needs to join an international, more promising team. Is this true?
#3. Lotan Spinx Giladi
#2. Dmitry sh1ro Sokolov
Yes, Cloud9 failed to qualify for the last major in the history of CS:GO, but they made it to the top 3 at IEM Rio 2023... sh1ro is the only player on the team who has been demonstrating consistency for many months in a row. At the same time, it seems that Sokolov has reached the ceiling of the team and needs a new challenge for further development. sh1ro is our number two in the ranking.
#1. Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut
ZywOo is the best CS:GO esports player in April 2023 and there are no questions about it. The French sniper has been in incredible form, leading Vitality to victory at the tournament in Rio and the major in Paris. Time and time again, Erbo confirms his status as the main star of the club and handles this pressure perfectly. Now he is warmed up and ready to win the title of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
