Top 10 best players at IEM Chengdu 2024

On April 14, 2024, one of the few championships held in China, specifically the Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024, concluded. The champions were FaZe Clan, who defeated the MOUZ team in the final with a score of 2:0 (Overpass 13:10, Nuke 13:6) in maps.

Now it's time to summarize the championship, namely to look at the top-10 best players of the past tournament. Let's not beat around the bush, let's get started right away.

#10 - Abay "HObbit" Khasenov

Opening our top ten is Cloud9's rifler, Abay "HObbit" Khasenov. His average rating over 5 played maps was 6.5. Essentially, that could be the end of it, as the Kazakh played a typical tournament for himself. Due to his positions on the map, which do not allow for making great highlights, he did not make it into other top lists.

However, we can still look at his statistics for multikills:

  • 5 triple kills per round
  • 15 double kills per round

As for clutches, it's a bit worse; he only managed to win two clutches in one-versus-one situations.

#9 — Maxim "riskyb0b" Churikov

For the first time, Nemiga Gaming's rifler Maxim "riskyb0b" Churikov enters our top players list. His average rating over 5 played matches was 6.5. Moreover, he became the best player in the "Trade" section, with a rating of 0.202.

This was the first Tier-1 championship attended by Nemiga Gaming, so the results of this player are quite good. Here's a look at the player's multikill statistics:

  • 1 ACE
  • 1 quad kill per round
  • 5 triple kills per round
  • 15 double kills per round

The player made his ACE against the FlyQuest team.

He also managed to win one clutch in a one-versus-three situation and another in a one-versus-one situation.

#8 — Keith "NAF" Markovic

Rifler of Team Liquid, Keith "NAF" Markovic, holds the eighth place in our top. The Canadian's average rating over 9 played matches was 6.6. It should be added that he was one of the best headshooters of the tournament, taking eighth place in this niche with a rating of 0.44, and his headshot kill percentage was 58.8%.

But his statistics for multikills are impressive:

  • 1 ACE
  • 6 triple kills per round
  •  8 double kills per round

That very ACE against the MOUZ team:

Throughout the tournament, NAF won two clutches in two-versus-one situations and two in one-versus-one situations.

#7 — Nikola "NiKo" Kovac

The next spot is occupied by the rifler of G2 Esports, Nikola "NiKo" Kovac. His average rating over 13 played maps was 6.6.

Surprisingly, this time NiKo did not even make it into the top-5 best headshooters of the tournament. Here's how Counter-Strike 2 affects people. At this tournament, he killed his opponents in the head with a probability of 58.9%.

However, in the rating of playing with Deagle, NiKo still managed to get into the top-5. His rating with this pistol was 0.049. Moreover, Nikola also stood out with his multikills:

  • 32 double kills per round

But with clutches, it's a bit worse, as he only won two in two-versus-one situations and four in one-versus-one situations.

#6 — Jimmy "Jimpphat" Salo

The sixth place in our ranking goes to the young talent from Finland, Jimmy "Jimpphat" Salo, rifler for team MOUZ. His average rating over 11 played maps was 6.7.

He also ranked fourth for the highest percentage of headshot kills, successfully shooting opponents in the head with a probability of 55.2%.

Additionally, it’s worth noting his remarkable performance with the Glock-18; his rating with this pistol was 0.067, putting him at the top of this list. He also amazed his fans with the number of his multikills:

  • 1 quad kill per round
  • 14 triple kills per round
  • 38 double kills per round

Furthermore, he managed to win three clutches in two-versus-one situations and one in a one-versus-one situation.

#5 — Helvijs "broky" Saukants

Kicking off our top five players of this tournament is the sniper from FaZe Clan Helvijs "broky" Saukants, who also doubled as the MVP of the tournament.

Let's start from the beginning, namely with the average rating for all the played maps in the tournament. broky's average rating over 15 played maps was 6.7, making it the fifth-best result in the championship.

Moreover, he ranked 12th among all players with AWP in the championship, with a rating of 0.254:

Due to broky being a "lazy" sniper, he won’t have staggering statistics in various metrics. However, to understand the significant impact he brings to the team, one must closely follow his gameplay. His statistics for multikills are as follows:

  • 2 triple kills per round
  • 14 double kills per round

#4 — Evgeniy "FL1T" Lebedev

The lurker for team Virtus.pro, Evgeniy "FL1T" Lebedev, occupies the fourth spot in our top of the best players at IEM Chengdu 2024. His average rating over 8 played maps was 6.7. Notably, FL1T ranked second in the best opening fraggers of the tournament. His rating in this category was 0.157.

Additionally, he ranked eighth in the best players with the AK-47, with a rating of 0.333. While his clutch statistics aren’t impressive—only winning one in a two-versus-one situation—his multikill stats tell a different story:

  • 2 quad kills per round
  • 7 triple kills per round
  • 17 double kills per round

#3 — Joshua "INS" Potter

Bronze place is taken by the player from team FlyQuest, Joshua "INS" Potter. His rating over 8 played maps was 6.8. Add to this, he secured the fifth place in the ranking of the best players with an AK-47, with a rating of 0.363. Again, a reminder, this is a player from Australia. Is the scene developing again?

Unfortunately, there's not much more to tell, as throughout the entire tournament, he managed to win only three clutches in one-versus-one situations, and that's all. His statistics for multikills are as follows:

  • 2 quad kills per round
  • 10 triple kills per round
  • 27 double kills per round

#2 — Martin "stavn" Lund

Few could have expected this twist, but the second place in our ranking of the best players of the tournament is held by the rifler from team Astralis, Martin "stavn" Lund. His average rating over 8 played maps was 7.0.

Interestingly, besides being the best player with an M4A1-S—his rating with this rifle was 0.279—this player didn't surprise his fans much in other areas. He also boasts of having won one clutch in a two-versus-one situation and one in a one-versus-one situation. His statistics for multikills look like this:

  • 1 quad kill per round
  • 6 triple kills per round
  • 22 double kills per round

#1 — Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov

The sniper from team G2 Esports, Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, claims the first place in the ranking of the best players at IEM Chengdu 2024. His average rating over 13 played maps was 7.1. And, it might seem there is nothing more to say, but Ilya ranked ninth in the best players with an AWP, his rating with this sniper rifle was 0.323.

Aside from the default kills, Ilya did not thrill his fans with a large number of highlights or anything similar. m0NESY managed to win four clutches in three-versus-one situations, one in a two-versus-one situation, and three in one-versus-one situations. His statistics for multikills were as follows:
