New stars are emerging in the world of cybersport, and some of them reach the top already at a young age. The IEM Katowice tournament, which every year gathers the best of the best in Counter-Strike, has become a place where young talents have left their mark on history.
At the latest IEM Katowice 2024 tournament, the spotlight was on Danil "donk" Kryszkowiec, who at the age of just 17 won the championship, becoming the youngest winner in the event's history. This success underscores the trend of a new generation of cyber athletes who are ready to challenge the established stars.
Pawel "byali" Belinski, although not on the list of the youngest, deserves a mention as EMS One Katowice 2014 champion at the age of 19.9 years.
These achievements not only show the individual talent of young players, but also highlight the importance of supporting and developing youth programs in eSports. Time will tell if these young champions will be able to maintain their position and continue winning in the future, but for now their names are already written in the history of one of the most prestigious tournaments in CS.
