The Mongolz were defeated against CatEvil and Rare Atom, thus losing their chances of making it to BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024. They lost two BO1 matches at 5E Arena Asia Cup Fall, 11-13 against CatEvil and 6-13 against Rare Atom.
The Mongolz were competing in Group A along with Rare Atom, CatEvil, and Steel Helmet. After their first win against Steel Helmet, they failed to win any more matches. As a result, they left the tournament in 5th-6th place.
Last season ended well for them, where they took first place at YaLLa Compass 2024, but the second half of the season has not started well so far. But despite these losses, The Mongolz still have a chance to get back into action at the Esports World Cup 2024.
Which starts on July 17, where they will play their first match against a revamped G2 roster in the BO3 format in Riyadh. Esports World Cup 2024 will be the first LAN tournament of the second half of the season and if the team performs well, they will be able to secure their place in the top of Valve's top teams and earn a spot at RMR for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
