The Asian team The Mongolz has achieved a significant milestone for their country – for the first time in the history of Mongolia's pro-scene, representatives of this country have made it to the playoffs of a major international championship. At ESL Challenger Atlanta 2023, the team secured at least a 3rd-4th place finish.

The Mongolz advanced to the final stage of the tournament by defeating Complexity in the decider of Group A. The score was quite decisive – 13:3 and 13:8 in favor of the Mongols.

A significant contribution to today's sensation was made by Munkhbold "senzu" Azbayar with a rating of 8.4. He also scored an impressive 117 average damage per round and a K/D difference of 41-20.

Asian teams are rare guests in the playoffs of prestigious events. Besides The Mongolz, only Lynn Vision has gone this far since 2019. However, bLitz and his teammates have a chance to reach the final – they need to beat Virtus.pro in the semifinals. The match against them will take place on December 17th at 19:00.
