"The main question for s1mple is how he will deal with playing alongside relatively unknown players now that electroNic has departed," OverDrive commented on electroNic's departure from NAVI

Today, well-known Eastern European insider Alexey "Overdrive" Biryukov expressed his opinion on the upcoming reshuffle in Natus Vincere, specifically regarding the departure of the team's rifler, Denis "electroNic" Sharipov.

Overdrive said:

There is a reference to s1mple, who may struggle now that he no longer has a captain like electroNic, who was capable of turning any situation around. In general, the main question for s1mple is how he will handle playing with relatively unknown players who can make mistakes. For example, jL and iM have much less experience compared to s1mple. If he can manage his emotions, perhaps it can all work out somehow. Otherwise, after two or three tournaments, we will realize that nothing is working here. On one hand, I believe in NAVI's management because knowledgeable people work here. But knowing s1mple, there are still doubts. Currently, he is not performing at his usual level, so only time will tell.

To recap, according to preliminary information from insiders, three players will be leaving Natus Vincere: Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, and Andrey "npl" Khukharskiy.

Taking their places will be Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen, Justinas "jL" Lekavicius, and Ivan "iM" Mikhaylov. The future roster of NAVI should look as follows:

  • Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev
  • Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovsky
  • Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen (captain)
  • Justinas "jL" Lekavicius
  • Ivan "iM" Mikhaylov
  • Andrey "b1ad3" Gorodetsky (coach)

If the rumors about the roster overhaul in NAVI are confirmed, it will be the first time since 2013 that the CS:GO team does not include any Russian players. The next tournament for NAVI will be the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023, which will take place after the summer break in the competitive scene. The championship will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from July 13th to 27th. Teams will compete for a prize pool of $177,500 and six slots in the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
