Today, enthusiasts from Reddit managed, through joint efforts, to completely unravel the data in the build version, which appeared in the latest update. And not just decipher, but to understand which digit is responsible for what.
Recall that yesterday Valve released a small update in which they added additional information about the client on the screen for easier study. Also:
- Stability improvements.
- Fixed a rendering issue related to the UltraWide+ feature
And now the Reddit wizards have deciphered what exactly is encrypted in this field:
And here's what's encrypted:
- Oct 20 09:14:71- Month and exact date and time logged into the game
- L - The letters L,S,X, and V seem to correspond to local server L, Valve server V, dedicated community S, or nothing X
- 00 - Ping00 - Incoming packets
- 99 - Outgoing packet loss
- 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0 - Not yet known
- 02 - Maximum client frame time in ms for the previous 256 fps
- 02 - Minimum client frame time in ms for the previous 256 fps
Reddit community is just something! Recall that to disable the display of this line you need to enter the following command in the console:
r_show_build_info false
We would like to remind you that Valve asked you not to disable this line if you find a bug and send it to the developers. It is because of this line they will be able to more easily understand the problem.
