The Steam Workshop for CS2 has launched an FPS Benchmark to determine your average FPS in the game

Today, a map called "CS2 FPS BENCHMARK" was published on the Steam Workshop for Counter-Strike 2. After more than half a year, players can now measure their average FPS using an in-game map.

In order to test your system's performance, the map will emulate typical scenarios that occur in a normal round, such as planting a bomb, throwing grenades, shooting, creating smoke, etc...

At the end of the test, system performance data will appear in your developer console in the following form:

  • [VProf] FPS: Average=517.3, P1=183.5 <<
  • FPS: Average > Average number of frames per second for the entire test
  • P1 > 1% of the slowest frames, in fact the lowest FPS values for the entire test period.

The results of this test should not be compared to actual competitive matches due to the need for your client to simulate the entire gameplay, which does not happen when playing on a server.

This process is 100% reliable and reproducible, and should only be used to compare results to each other, to test for configuration/hardware changes.

For example, if on this card you have a stable 100 FPS, then already in Premier Mode or on Faceit you are almost 100% likely to have a stable 130 or even more FPS.
