Heroic's journey through the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 Europe RMR B qualifiers has been marked by resilience and strategic prowess, culminating in a decisive victory over Astralis. Following their win, René "TeSeS" Madsen reflected on the significance of defeating their rivals, especially after a challenging match against Vitality.
Yesterday, we had a really rough game against Vitality... but it's even nicer to win against Astralis
On beating Astralis again, he added:
Winning against them once can be lucky, but two times is a little less lucky.
TeSeS also touched on Heroic's exhaustive preparation for the qualifiers:
We started our first practice day on December 26... It has been a really insane grind.
Despite the demands, the team's effort has been fruitful, bringing them one win away from the Major.
Discussing his transition to an international team setup, TeSeS found the adjustment straightforward:
It has been pretty easy... I'm pretty used to it by now. On some maps, I'm a little more central on the CT sides... I can play both kinds of roles.
Heroic's strategy and teamwork have been key to their success, with TeSeS's performance and leadership pivotal in their RMR campaign. As they stand on the brink of qualifying for the Major, the team's focus and determination remain unwavering.
