Yesterday, on February 11, Team Spirit defeated FaZe Clan in the final of IEM Katowice 2024, becoming the fifth team to compete for $1,000,000 at the Intel Grand Slam.

Intel Grand Slam is a competition in which Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams fight for the main prize of $1.000.000. In order to get the coveted million, the team needs to win 4 gold bars, which are given for victories at ESL Pro Tour tournaments.

In addition to Spirit, in the race for the million are now participating:

• FaZe Clan - victory at IEM Sydney 2023
• MOUZ - victory at ESL Pro League Season 18
• G2 Esports - victory at IEM Cologne 2023
• Falcons - victory at IEM Dallas 2023 (Since the backbone from ENCE moved to Falcons now instead of ENCE is spelled Falcons)
• Team Vitality - victory at IEM Rio 2023

It is important to note that FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, Astralis and Outsiders have fewer chances to win than Spirit:

• Team Vitality: 4 chances
• Falcons: 5 chances 
• G2 Esports: 6 chances
•  MOUZ: 7 chances 
• FaZe Clan: 8 chances

Spirit also have 9 chances to win 4 gold bars and become the owners of a million dollars. The next ESL Pro Tour tournament where teams will be able to compete for gold bars will be Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024, which starts on April 8, 2024.
