The first Counter-Strike season of 2024 was the most competitive in recent memory. Previously, each of the last three years has had a dominant team, but this year saw trophies traded between teams left and right.
With the scene seemingly wide open now, there’s a lot of conversation about which team will end the year as the best in the world.
With that in mind, we asked talent to give their answers on which team will be the best in the second Counter-Strike season of 2024.

Spirit: it is a boring answer but nothing seems to be stopping them. Even though they have INSANE expectations, I think they are only just getting started

I’m expecting a huge revival from FAZE into the second half of 2024, I feel part of the slow down from FAZE’s meteoritic rise at the start of CS2 is teams catching up to their style and play book, And with some downtime over the play break they’ll finally have time to refresh that playbook and come back with renewed vigour on the server.

I think the best team heading into the second half of the year is going to be super tough to call. It seems like nearly every event we have the winner is changing which is a good thing IMO. Shows just how competitive the top level is.
If i had to make a prediction i reckon I would lean with either the safe pick of Spirit, as they are just a joy to watch tbh, or the slightly riskier one of Faze. Feel like you can never count them out and would love to see them win some more trophies.

I think Virtus Pro will do really well next season I think people expect a lot always when new transfers happen especially with the name value of them but when you consider the amount of roles Electronic has played in recently and the adjustment to the style of Jame’s calling and positional changes. Sprinkle in changes to the back room staff it’s no wonder this team hasn’t immediately hit the ground running. I really think they will kick on towards the back end of 2024.

Genuinely tough to say because from event to event I feel like a different team looks better each time. Purely because I feel like they have the least amount of question marks or underperforming factors, Spirit. Would like to mention MongolZ too, they were a bit burnt out going into Jonkoping, but with a break to reset I think they can continue to push on and impress.
