In a recent micro update to Counter-Strike 2, lines of code have been discovered that hint at the upcoming addition of a new Steam feature that will allow players to share gameplay clips directly on Steam. The discovery was made on Twitter by analyst and content maker Thour, who shared the codes such as “CLIPS (start frame, end frame, event ticks)”, “ui_render_task_clips_label”, and “ui_render_task_generate_clips”.
These lines of code indicate the potential integration of the Steam Clip feature, which could significantly expand the social capabilities of the platform by allowing players to save and share important moments of gameplay directly through the Steam interface. Such a feature would not only increase social interaction between players, but also contribute to greater visualization of gaming achievements.
Commenting on his findings, Thour noted that the integration of such a feature could open up new ways for gamers to showcase their best moments of the game, as well as emphasize the importance of the community in the development of gaming platforms. It is not yet known when the new feature will be available to all Steam users, but additional updates are expected to be announced soon.
