Owen “smooya” Butterfield is one of the famous and extravagant CS2 players who is back in the spotlight after it was announced that he has found a new team.
Smooya has been without a team since January 2024, after he left The Witchers, then played as a substitute for the Russian team Forze, which is linked to the Russian authorities. Despite this, he did not sit idle, as he participated in the ESL Pro League Season 19, where he demonstrated his skills. Overall, he has a rating of 6.8.
Smooya's new team is a mystery that is currently the subject of much rumor and speculation. Some fans believe that he may join Team Secret. Others suggest that Smooya may join the American scene - Liquid or Complexity, where he will most likely be replaced in the near future.
