
Tournament organizer CCT has announced mass disqualifications and bans of teams in its events following incidents involving third-party software and account sharing. As a result, three teams and several players have been banned.
During a detailed investigation, the TO discovered that in the match between THE and 1WIN at CCT Season 3 European Series 8 Play-In, THE’s player 1drezz was in fact replaced by Dune from KHAN. At the same time, the Akros anti-cheat system detected that six players had been using prohibited third-party programs. For cheating and account sharing, seven players received two-year bans, while the remaining members of THE, KHAN, and Y5 were disqualified for the next six months.

CCT is a Counter-Strike 2 tournament series that provides tier-2 and tier-3 teams and players with the opportunity to earn VRS points, which grant invitations to more prestigious competitions. This is not the first time the organizers have faced issues with cheating and other problems in the scene.
