"We Were Better Prepared" - siuhy on MOUZ's Confident Victory Over FaZe

At the opening of the BLAST World Final tournament, team MOUZ defeated FaZe, marking their second consecutive victory over this opponent following their success at the IEM Rio. The win propelled MOUZ into the upper bracket final, where they will face Astralis, aiming for their first arena victory.

MOUZ captain, Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, emphasized in an HLTV interview that despite some mistakes, the team was better prepared and played with "more confidence," which became the key to victory. "It's not about how often we win or lose to FaZe," siuhy commented, "the main thing is to beat them in finals, and that's what we're striving for."

How MOUZ and FaZe Came to Face Each Other

The rivalry between MOUZ and FaZe has lasted a long time and had numerous defeats for MOUZ. However, with recent victories at ESL Pro League and BB Dacha, along with a successful start at BLAST World Final, MOUZ is confidently solidifying their position. The victory over FaZe at such a critical stage also boosted their tournament chances. "We set a goal before Rio to update our playbook, and now everything we've been working on is being realized on the server," noted siuhy, adding that the team aims "to end the year on a high note."

How MOUZ Managed to Snatch Victory

The match with FaZe was intense, with both maps played with minimal lead, and the first map ending in overtime. However, the decisive factor for MOUZ was the performance of Brollan, who made several multikills and clinched victory on the Nuke and Inferno maps. "He played just amazingly throughout the series," commented siuhy. "A few tournaments ago, he was hard on himself for a poor performance, but now he's showing excellent form and setting a good example for the whole team."

The coach also played a crucial role: during a pivotal moment on the Inferno map, he took a timeout and gave Brollan important guidance. "I don't know exactly what the coach told him, but I hope he keeps saying it because Brollan immediately got a 4K in that round," added siuhy with a smile.

Facing the Refreshed Astralis Lineup

MOUZ's next opponent will be the renewed Astralis team, which previously defeated NAVI. Siuhy noted that the new Astralis lineup is "a completely different team" compared to previous encounters. "You never know if Astralis is strong or it's NAVI that performed weakly. In any case, we're preparing as usual and hope to be in top form for the game," stated siuhy, adding that the team will not underestimate the opponent and will approach the game with full seriousness.

Preparing for the Final Part of the Season and Plans for RMR and Major

With the victory over FaZe and the upcoming match against Astralis, MOUZ continues to prepare for the RMR and Major, which will be the culmination of the season. "Recovery will be the most important part of the last months of the year," shared siuhy, emphasizing that upcoming travels and the intense schedule require top form. "You come back home from BLAST and literally have three days to recover," he noted, adding that a boot camp and even more intensive preparation for RMR are ahead.

With each victory, MOUZ shows they are ready to stand up to top teams and end the season on a high note. "Any game can have surprises: one mistake, and the opponent gains confidence," says siuhy. "We'll play at full strength and prepare as best as we can."
