The latest update for Counter-Strike 2, which is only 17 MB in size, has brought unexpected problems for players using external anti-cheats such as FACEIT AC, Esay AC. Players are facing keyboard failure during the game, forcing them to look for alternative solutions.
After the update, many Reddit users shared their experience of how their keyboard input was no longer accepted in the game, especially when the anti-cheat was activated. FACEIT reportedly goes down for hours after micro-updates, which could indicate that VALVE's updates are unstable and affect third-party services.
VALVE has already addressed the problem, claiming that it can be fixed with a simple startup parameter - +cl_input_enable_raw_keyboard 1, which allows the keyboard to work in raw mode.
This is not the first time that an update has caused problems with third-party anti-readers. Earlier, on May 24, when a major update was released, FACEIT also experienced similar problems, which makes us wonder if this is a way to fight competitors.
Currently, FACEIT reports that it is working to resolve the issue by temporarily closing the match search to stabilize the situation. Players hope for a quick resolution to this issue so that they can once again plunge into uninterrupted CS2 matches.
