Monte player Viktor "sdy" Orudjev told ESL in the interview after the victory against Vitality at the ESL Pro League Season 18 whether the opportunity to win the last CS:GO tournament motivates his team. Viktor answered that it would be very cool, but he would like it to be the last CS:GO tournament.

The prize pool of the event is $850,000, and the winner gets slots at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 and IEM Katowice 2024.
"It probably would be the coolest thing in the world to win the last CS:GO trophy. I hope the last, because if we play more CS:GO tournaments..."Viktor "sdy" Orudjev
The first S-tier tournament for Counter-Strike 2 is Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, which will take place from October 16 to 22. Almost all top-tier teams will take part in the event, including NAVI, G2, Vitality, and ENCE.
