Sangal advanced to the semifinals of CCT Season 2 Europe Series 6 by defeating B8

In the quarterfinals between Sangal and B8, the former won convincingly and advanced to the semifinals of CCT Season 2 Europe Series 6, while the latter exited the tournament. This was the 3rd meeting between the teams in the last 3 months and Sangal emerged victorious once again.

In a match 11 days ago at the $100,000 RES Regional Series 6 Europe, Sangal defeated B8 2-1 where the last card ended in the third extra rounds with a score of 22-20.

This match featured the same maps as the previous match, which added to the interest of watching the match. B8 were able to avenge their past two losses, but unfortunately it didn't happen.

The first map of the match was Nuke, a B8 selection for whom it went with problems. Despite an even first half, which ended with a comfortable 6-6 score for the B8s, they had problems on defense. They lost the pistol round, but managed to win the force round, but that didn't help them much and they lost the map with a score of 10-13.

The second map was Anubis, the choice of Sangal, who failed to show a decent game at the beginning of the game and were losing 0-4, but after a lucky round they managed to win the series and tie the score, making 4-8. Despite losing the second pistol round to Sangal, they managed to win the force and bring the game to an end winning 13-8. The best player of the match was Yasin “xfl0ud ”Koç, finishing the game with a rating of 6.9.

Sangal will play the winner of the Monte/9z pairing in the semifinals of the tournament. In turn, B8 left the tournament in 5th-8th place and received $2,000 in prize money. This tournament is an important one, because if the team wins and performs well, they have a chance to get points in the Valve rankings.

At the moment Sangal and B8 are ranked 21st and 28th in Valve's regional rankings, if they don't lose their positions, they will most likely get an invitation to the closed qualifications for RMR. If they perform well and get high places, they have a chance to qualify for Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024: European RMR.
