Today, Ukrainian sniper Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev from Natus Vincere team played together with Ukrainians and Russians in a live stream hosted by well-known streamer Vadim "Evelon" Kozakov.
During the stream, various media personalities collected donations to aid the evacuation of people from the flooded areas of the Kherson region. However, there was one caveat.
The streamers displayed a "donation jar" from the Ukrainian bank MONOBANK on the screen, where viewers could send their contributions to support the civilian population.
Everything would have been fine, except that since February 24, 2022, MONOBANK stopped processing all payments coming from and going to russia. Consequently, only residents of Ukraine could make donations, while russians, who comprised 95% of the audience, even with a strong desire, couldn't contribute through Vadim's stream.
This is the second time in a week that a Ukrainian player from Natus Vincere has been involved in such a scandal. Previously, b1t became part of a story with a russian blogger on Instagram. You can read more about this situation here.
Various media personalities played a game called "Bunker," and the stream lineup looked as follows:
Comments from media personalities after the announcement of the live stream:
The first to speak was Ukrainian commentator Arseniy "ceh9" Trinozhenko, who stated:
The person left the country, streams purely for enjoyment, and Sanya (s1mple) doesn't allow him to relax. Well, sorry, dude, life is a tough joke, but don't worry, the war will end, you will come back, and you will continue to enjoy life!
And then there was a response from the stream organizer Evelon, who said the following:
Also, I want to say one thing: there, S1mple is speaking about something. Go fck yourself, you goat. Mind your own business, damn it. You're speaking about something, sitting there, mind your own business and do things the way you want to do them. What a goat, damn it, don't bother me. If I start streaming every time, like you, to suck up to every given situation, I won't be able to do it alone, because it affects me. Then I sit down for a coffee, I need a whole day to recover from this sht. You sit there, enjoying it all, damn it. In fact, for the first two months when all this was being discussed, I couldn't start streaming because I thought I would start it as a hype. You know, this is all disgusting, the filth is sitting there, and then this goat jumps out, damn it, this boy, this analyst forgot. By the way, I'm helping with this, I just don't want to show everything to everyone. I don't think it's necessary. If people ask for my help, I help as much as I can, and you sit there, and it still bothers me.
Then, Arseniy responded, but not in such a rude manner:
Well, Vadim, I watched your response, very beautifully, very dignified. You really feel like calling yourself the number one CIS streamer? Well, I couldn't expect anything else, really. But in reality, I understand you perfectly. I understand your sorrow, your hardship. You lost your hometown. But at the same time, you can't say anything about the war. You only became Ani Lorak in the world of streamers. And honestly, I can't feel anything but pity. Both for you and the situation around you. It doesn't evoke any sincerity in me. I'm speaking sincerely now, without trolling, without jokes. Unfortunate, I feel sorry for you. It's a big tragedy. And, unfortunately, you have to live with it your whole life. So be it.
It's worth noting that Vadim himself was born in Nova Kakhovka, which is currently occupied by russian forces.
It's also worth mentioning that s1mple previously publicly donated over 3 million hryvnias to help Ukraine. As for ceh9, he regularly conducts live streams where he analyzes news related to the war between Ukraine and Russia for a large audience.
