The first step towards changes in the Falcons' lineup
The Falcons head coach, Dani “zonic” Sørensen, announced the need for changes in the team's lineup after the team's departure from the BLAST Premier Fall Final. And now the first results of his work are obvious - s1mple joins the team, replacing the Spaniard Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia, who will move to the bench.
SunPayus' difficulties in CS2
SunPayus, who was one on the best player rankings in 2023, failed to show the expected level at the beginning of the CS2 era. Although his average rating of 6.3 in Falcons is only slightly lower than his time in ENCE (6.5), it was not enough for the team's stable results.
The shape of s1mple remains a mystery
The loan of s1mple is a bold move, as his form remains a big mystery after a year off. The Ukrainian's last official game was just a few weeks ago, when he backed up Falcons in a 1-2 loss to Metizport. Nevertheless, s1mple remains a world-class player, having won the Player of the Year title three times and twice as vice-champion.
Falcons in search of stability
Falcons had only one successful performance at a major tournament this year - the semifinals of IEM Katowice in February. However, since then, the team has not shown stability, despite the signing of experienced Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen in March. The loan of s1mple could be a key element in getting Falcons back on track.
