Rumors: In 2024, NRG will make drastic changes to their Valorant roster

Yesterday, British journalist George Geddes tweeted from his account that the American organization NRG will soon part ways with three players. According to George, Ardis "ardiis" Svarenieks, Sam "s0m" Oh, and the team captain Pujan "FNS" Mehta will be leaving the roster.

Recall that the American team didn't perform very well in 2023. They secured 4th place at VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo and 2nd place in the regular season of VCT 2023: Americas League. However, the latest World Championship didn't end well for the team. Despite their bold statements about the Chinese team Bilibili Gaming, NRG players couldn't defeat them and ended their journey in the tournament at 9-12th place, not advancing from their group. After the defeat at Valorant Champions 2023, the team is evidently expected to reshuffle, as reported by George Geddes. He claims that for the upcoming 2024 VCT season, the team will form a revamped lineup without ardiis, s0m, and FNS. There hasn't been any official confirmation yet, but it's worth noting that s0m's contract with the organization ends in 2023, while the other two players' contracts do not. Thus, it's not definite that all three will leave the team. We also want to highlight that there are rumors online that two former OpTic Gaming players - yay and Marved are joining NRG. You can find out more about this in our article.
