Cybersport is recognized at the state level

This event again showed that esports is on the level of classical sports. Leaders of states regularly meet with the best players of various disciplines, most advanced countries have recognized esports as a kind of sport, and players are invited as guests of honor to major state events.

Such a gesture from the government of Estonia indicates that esports is no longer different from other sports, and the more countries make similar gestures, the faster such an opinion will take root in the minds of most of the population.

What were other esports athletes who met with the government of their states?

You can immediately remember the players of the OG team in Dota 2 after the victory at The International. Then Topias Topson Taavitsainen and Esse JerAx Vainikka were invited to the annual reception of the President of Finland, where they also exchanged handshakes.

The player of the same team, Sebastian Ceb Debs, met with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, at the event in honor of French esports. The player and the President took a photo.

In addition, heads of state often congratulate esports athletes on their victories at Major tournaments. One of them was the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who congratulated Natus Vincere after winning the PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
