Relog Media to organize European qualification for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025

Relog Media has officially taken over the organization of MRQ: Europe, a qualifying tournament for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 for the European region. The tournament will be held online from April 14 to 17, where 16 teams will compete for a chance to make it to the main tournament of the first half of 2025.

Details of the selection

All matches will take place in two main stages: first, the teams will play in the Swiss system, after which some of them will have the opportunity to compete in the Play-In Stage. The Swiss format stipulates that all matches, except for the decisive ones, will be BO1, while at the stage of elimination or advancement to the next stage, the format changes to BO3. To avoid unfair seeding, matches from the third to the fifth round will be played using the Buchholz system.

Based on the results of the Swiss Stage, the top 5 teams will receive direct invitations to Stage 1 of the Austin Major, while the team that takes 6th place will get an additional chance to play in the Play-In. At the same time, the 8 worst teams will stop competing for the major.

The final Play-In Stage will be held in single elimination format, where participants will play BO3. Only one team will get the last slot in Stage 1 of the Austin Major 2025.
