Preasy Esports announced the sale of their Counter-Strike 2 roster due to the unprofitability of being in the discipline

Today, the Danish organization Preasy Esports announced the sale of their Counter-Strike 2 team due to the unprofitability of remaining in the discipline. The organization needs funding, hence the decision to sell it to "reach greater heights".

The decision was made based on Preasy's strengthened position, having climbed to the 32nd spot in the international ranking and earning the right to participate in the closed qualifiers for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.

Currently, Preasy is owned by Michael Herz, who founded this esports structure in April 2023, giving it the same name as his electricity supply business, also called Preasy.

Herz added in his statement:

With a mix of joy and contemplation, I announce my decision to sell our beloved sports club. This decision has grown out of the remarkable development where Preasy Esport has evolved into more than just a side venture.

It's worth noting that this organization has been around for less than a year, as its first team was formed in May 2023.During this time, they managed to earn $146,000 in prize money. Their main achievements include victories at the European Pro League Season 12 and  CCT Online Finals #4.

It should also be mentioned that the organization has an academy team, named Preasy Rising, but the fate of this lineup remains uncertain, although it's likely that the players will simply be disbanded.
