Players can now choose which server to play on in CS2 - the game received a small update

On the night of October 13th to 14th, Valve developers released another update for Counter-Strike 2. This time, players received a small but very significant update for the game.

The most important addition in this update is that players can now choose the server they want to play on. Previously, they could only select the maximum ping.

  • A list of the nearest official data centers has been added to the "Maximum allowable ping in a match" setting.

Other updates:

  • Various bug fixes and improvements for agents, gloves, and stickers.
  • Information about the server is now displayed in the match acceptance window if the delay is significantly high.
  • Fixed an issue where ping was incorrectly calculated in Sydney, leading to players connecting to more distant data centers.
  • Fixed an issue where the region selection pop-up window for Perfect World did not save the last choice.
  • Fixed an issue where the sapper loadout was not displayed on the scoreboard.

The update size is 453 MB.

CS2 was released on September 27th. The updated version of Valve's shooter became available for free to all users and completely replaced CS:GO. The next major CS2 tournament will be IEM Sydney 2023.
