Pimp named the biggest transfers in CS history: s1mple, ropz, gla1ve and more

Famous analyst and former player Jacob “Pimp” Winneche shared his thoughts on the biggest transfers in the history of Counter-Strike. According to him, transfers have always played a key role in shaping the dynamics of the professional scene, and some of them will forever remain in the memory of game fans.

Here's a list of transfers that Pimp believes have become the most important and significant in the history of Counter-Strike.

Device to NIP

The first transfer that Pimp mentioned was the transfer of a dev1ce from Astralis to NIP. This transfer came as a shock to many fans, because until then, the core of Astralis had remained together despite the breaks in the game of individual players. However, unfortunately, due to the medical problems of the device, this transfer did not bring the expected results for NIP.

"This transition was the first real breakup of the Astralis core. It was a big blow to the Danish scene and many fans still remember that moment, “ comments Pimp.

Ropz in FaZe

According to Pimp, one of the most successful transfers was the transition of ropz to FaZe Clan. This transfer helped FaZe to win the Intel Grand Slam, as well as to win such tournaments as IEM Katowice 2022, IEM Cologne 2022 and PGL Major Antwerp.

"For me, this transfer was the most obvious decision. ropz was one of the best referees in the world, and his move to FaZe helped the team become the strongest in its history, ” Pimp said.

Kjaerbye to North

The most controversial transfer was Kjaerbye  move to North. After he was recognized as the MVP of Major Atlanta 2017, his decision to leave Astralis shocked everyone, especially after Astralis found a replacement in Magisk and won three majors in a row.

"This transfer will be remembered as one of the most mysterious and possibly the most unfortunate in Counter-Strike history, ” Pimp said.

Gla1ve to Astralis

One of the most influential transfers was the move of gla1ve to Astralis. He helped the team win four majors and become the most successful team in CS history.

“Many people doubted this transfer at the time, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions for Astralis and for gla1ve,” adds Pimp.

s1mple to Liquid and back to NAVI

Last on the list, Pimp mentioned two big deals involving s1mple - his move to Liquid and his return to NAVI. The first star player to join the team from North America helped Liquid rise to the next level, and his return to NAVI was a key moment in building the strongest team in the history of the game.

“ s1mple 's transition to Liquid and his return to NAVI were the moments that forever etched him in history as the best CS player,” Pimp summarizes.
