Perfect World has confirmed the CS Asia Championships in 2025, marking the fourth edition of the tournament since its debut in 2018. The event has sparked interest in the eSports community as the tournament returns to the calendar amidst already scheduled major events.
The post-Pandemic Return
The CS Asia Championships (CAC) debuted in 2018 but was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament managed to return in 2023 after a long hiatus and now the organizers are ready to hold another event in 2025. The interest in the tournament is also fueled by the fact that the CAC was not scheduled for 2024, as Perfect World focused on preparing for the Shanghai Major.
Tournament details and participants
CS Asia Championships 2025 will take place from October 1-13 in China, adding a second major event to the period when ESL is also scheduled to hold its tournament. Unlike previous iterations, the number of teams will increase to 16, greatly expanding the opportunities for participation. Last year's tournament was won by Team FaZe, with MOUZ taking the title in 2019 and Natus Vincere taking the title in 2018. The prize pool for the 2023 tournament was $500,000 and is expected to be just as impressive in 2025.
Next year, from October 1st to October 13th, Perfect World Esports will be hosting another premier Counter-Strike event: CAC 2025! Fans worldwide will get to see 16 globally top-ranked teams on stage in China for another clash in Asia's top LAN series.

It's important to note that PGL had originally planned to hold their event during the same period, but ultimately decided to partner with Perfect World to avoid a date conflict.
Conclusion
CS Asia Championships 2025 will be a significant event in the eSports community, especially considering the expanding number of participants and the high level of competition. The tournament promises to be one of the highlights of the year, attracting players and spectators from all over the world.
