The Party Astronauts team at the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2024 esports event unexpectedly faced a major challenge after a successful start. Despite a confident game against the sunday school team, the North Americans were unable to defeat Aurora and lost to the team with a score of 2-0.

In the deciding BO3 series against Team Aurora, the Party Astronauts were unable to handle their opponent. Despite an encouraging start on the second map of Overpass, Aurora was able to turn the tide of the game and eventually won the series 13-11. The North Americans finished the tournament with $3,000 in prize money but no opportunity to advance further.
Despite the failure in Melbourne, the Party Astronauts are aiming for future success. They have already received the right to participate in the upcoming ESL Challenger at DreamHack Summer 2024 event, which will be held from June 13 to 16 in Jönköping, Sweden.
