The group stage of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 began with a series of intense BO3 matches. In the opening matches, paiN, Wildcard, and Eternal Fire successfully debuted, reaching a 1-0 record in the Swiss system. Below is a detailed overview of each match.

paiN vs Astralis

The first map of the match was Inferno, where Astralis managed to handle it smoothly with a score of 13-7. The second map was Mirage, where paiN has been performing very well for a long time, and unsurprisingly, they were able to take the map easily with a score of 13-6. On the third map, Nuke, the game was even until the end, but thanks to their win in key rounds, paiN was able to pull ahead and won with a score of 13-11.

MIBR vs Wildcard

The first map was Train, surprising many as Wildcard had been banning this map before, but here they picked it. They won the first half 7:5 and lost the second half in a mirror image. In the second overtime, they managed to press on and won 19:15. The second map was Nuke, where Wildcard displayed a confident game, taking the first half 10:2, and simply closed out the game in the second, finishing the map 13:4.
