The Closed Qualification for the European region for PGL Bucharest 2025 has reached its decisive stage. Four teams have been determined to compete for a spot in the main tournament.
Ahead, viewers can expect the playoffs, where HEROIC will face OG, and Apogee will clash with BetBoom Team. These matches promise to be a real test for the teams, as a ticket to the prestigious championship with a prize pool of $625,000 is at stake.
Road to the Playoffs
Teams from Europe participated in the closed qualifications, but only four made it to the playoffs. In Group A, OG confidently advanced through the upper bracket, defeating ENCE, Passion UA, SINNERS, and NAVI Junior. In Group B, HEROIC left no chance for their opponents, defeating BASEMENT BOYS, GUN5, 9Pandas, and 9INE.


Apogee emerged as the best in Group C, advancing through the upper bracket by defeating Partizan, Leo Team, NIP, and fnatic. In Group D, BetBoom Team had to fight through the lower bracket: after losing in the semifinals, they managed to defeat ARCRED, CYBERSHOKE, Zero Tenacity, Spirit Academy, and Nemiga to secure a spot in the playoffs.



Decisive Matches
The final part of the qualification will bring HEROIC and OG together in one match, and Apogee and BetBoom Team in another. The winners of these encounters will advance to the grand final, where they will decide who gets the ticket to PGL Bucharest 2025, where the team will face 12 invited teams selected based on the VRS rating.

PGL Bucharest 2025 will take place in Bucharest, Romania, from April 6 to 13 at the PGL Studio arena. In addition to the winner of the European qualification, three more teams selected through regional qualifiers in North America, South America, and Asia will participate in the main stage.
