Today, the French organization Team Vitality announced the signing of rifler William "mezii" Merriman, who previously played for the Swedish organization Fnatic. Mezii will replace the recently departed Emil "Magisk" Reif.
From the legendary trio that transitioned to Team Vitality from Astralis, none remain - all players and the coach have left the roster, specifically:
- Magisk - to the bench
- zonic → Falcons
- dupreeh → Heroic
With this move, Team Vitality strengthens their lineup with the Briton from Fnatic. The French organization welcomed the new player with a very pleasant video.

But from a purely statistical comparison, it's safe to say that mezii will be able to replace his predecessor. Back when mezii first joined Fnatic, ALEX described him as a player who can take on any role, any position and be consistently in shape. Even when he became captain, he didn't fail and kept his level.
Despite mezii often remaining unnoticeable on the playing field, from his team's perspective, he is seen as an experienced player capable of filling any gap on the map without trouble.
Throughout his career, he has already won $126,656 in prize money, with his most notable moment being a 1v5 clutch with a P250 against a full buy from Esports Club Kyiv.
Mezii will compete with his new team at the upcoming BLAST Fall Final, which will take place at the end of November this year.
