Today, the Danish organization OG Esports announced on their social media that their rifler, Dion "FASHR" Derksen, has been moved to the bench. The player has already begun searching for a new organization.
FASHR joined the team in early summer this year and has since participated in 12 different tournaments. However, the team has yet to achieve a significant result on either the tier-1 or tier-2 scene. With FASHR, the team has only managed to earn $30,000 in prize money, which is a disappointing result for a team that positions itself as a tier-1 squad.
The most significant achievements during FASHR's time with the team were:
- Roobet Cup 2023 (5-8th place)
- BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2023 (5-8th place)
And that's it. OG Esports kindly bid farewell to their now-former rifler on their Twitter:
"Starting today, FASHR is moving to the reserve roster and is given the opportunity to explore other options. We would like to thank Dion for his professionalism during his time with us at OG."
FASHR also said goodbye to the organization on his Twitter, stating that he is open to offers from other organizations:
"Unfortunately, things did not work out, and I have been moved to the bench. I want to thank everyone involved in @OGcsgo for the time and wish them luck! This means I am open to offers! DM me or @RowanStroo for information!"
Considering the current frenzy among many teams assembling their rosters, it's possible that FASHR could be invited to join a team. However, looking at the player's statistics over the last six months on all maps, one might think that the 27-year-old rifler might end up without a team.
It's worth noting that most matches in the sample were not played against the strongest teams.
As of now, the organization has not officially announced a replacement for FASHR, nor have there been any rumors about it. The team still has time, as they have not yet been invited to any championships.
