The North American organization NRG may make a comeback in Counter-Strike after more than four years since the sale of their previous lineup. The management already has an idea of the theoretical roster.
NRG representatives have confirmed to HLTV journalists that they indeed have a rough idea of the roster in mind, but no contracts have been signed yet. It was not stated whether NRG will return to North America or choose another region.
Recall that the previous NRG lineup included Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov, Ethan "Ethan" Arnold, Tarik "tarik" Celik, Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, and Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte. Before and after the sale of the quintet to Evil Geniuses, the team was for some time in the top three in the world, only behind Liquid and Astralis.
Whether NRG can assemble a competitive roster from free agents in North America, or spend a modest amount on buyouts, is debatable. The fact that there is a conflict of interest between Complexity and FaZe, as after the recent deal both clubs have a common parent company, could be a good reason to buy out Finn "karrigan" Andersen along with his teammates. Let's not forget to pick up a fifth player, as Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken is almost certainly going to end up in Liquid. How realistic is this option? You be the judge.
