Today, the American organization Evil Geniuses left ESL Pro League Season 18 having won only one match. In their last match, the team lost to the Brazilians from MIBR with a score of 1-2.
How did the match go?
Essentially an amazing match, you can't call it anything else. But why not? Let's figure it out together.
The first map of the confrontation was Ancient (peak of EG team). On this map, let's put it mildly, the Americans failed and lost with a score of 1:16!
Next was Mirage (the peak of the MIBR team). Here the fight was much more spectacular and the winner was determined only after the second additional rounds. EG won the meeting with the score 22:20.
After exchanging maps, the teams went to the third decisive map - Nuke. Here the fight was even stronger, but still MIBR won with a score of 25:22.
Team MIBR riffler Felipe "insani" Yugi took home the MVP award with a 6.7 rating over three maps!
What's next?
For Evil Geniuses, it was the last match and they finished 21-28th and earned $8,000. During the whole tournament they won only one match against Rooster with a score of 2:0.
MIBR, on the other hand, only had one chance left to make the playoffs. Their next opponents are Monte, whose match will take place today. It is scheduled for 21:00 Kiev time.
