Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced their intention to create a new academic team consisting solely of Swedish players. This announcement was made following the formation of the Young Ninjas team, which includes three Swedish players.
NIP CEO Hicham Chahine shared the organization's plans for 2024 on social media. He stated that NIP plans to compete with four different teams in various esports disciplines. In addition to the main lineup and Young Ninjas, NIP will continue working with the women's team NIP Impact and create a new Swedish academic team.

This new academic team will focus on developing young Swedish talents, assisting them in the early stages of their careers. NIP's esports manager Erik Wendel also confirmed this plan, pointing to the creation of a team with young Swedish players.
Details regarding potential players for this team and the organization's exact plans are currently unknown. NIP has previously had experience in creating several academic teams, but previous attempts were short-lived.
