NIP became the second team to leave BetBoom Dacha: Closed Qualifier

Ninjas in Pyjamas announced that they are withdrawing from participation in the BetBoom Dacha: Closed Qualifier. This decision marks the second team to do so in the last week.

The management of the Swedish organization explained that the team departed too late from China after participating in the CS Asia Championships 2023, leaving insufficient time to optimally prepare for their first match in the BetBoom Dacha: Closed Qualifier. It remains unknown who will replace NiP in the match against MIBR. In the Shanghai tournament, NiP reached the playoffs but lost to ENCE in the quarterfinals.

Previously, the team fnatic also withdrew from the BetBoom Dacha: Closed Qualifier. The team couldn't field a full roster after William "mezii" Merriman and Frederik "roeJ" Jørgensen left the squad.

For NiP, this tournament was supposed to be the first under the leadership of new captain Alejandro "alex" Masanet. Now, the debut of the former Movistar Riders player is postponed to the BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023, where the team will face FaZe in the first round.
