The matchups for the first round of the playoffs at PGL Astana 2025 have been determined. Spirit will start their tournament run against GamerLegion, while Natus Vincere will face off against M80.

Other matchups include: G2 against MIBR, Virtus.pro will play against Ninjas in Pyjamas, and The MongolZ versus FURIA. Astralis is set to match up against ODDIK, while Aurora will compete against BIG, and paiN will begin the tournament with a match against HOTU.

The group stage of PGL Astana 2025 will be conducted in a Swiss system format. All matches will be played in a best-of-3 format. At the end of this stage, the top eight teams will advance to the playoffs. The playoffs will take place from May 16 to 18 and will follow a single-elimination format at the Barys Arena. All matches, except for the grand final, will be BO3. The tournament final will be played in a best-of-5 format.
