Natus Vincere once again solidified their status as one of the most stable clubs in CS:GO by qualifying for the BLAST.tv Major Paris, the final tournament of this level for the current version of Valve's shooter.
The Ukrainian club qualified for the BLAST.tv Major Paris by winning three matches without a single defeat at the European RMR Group A. On their way, NAVI defeated Into The Breach, Falcons, and FaZe Clan. It is worth noting that for 17-year-old Andrii npl Kuharsky, the upcoming Major will be the first in his career.
Interesting Facts
- The first major for "Born to Win" was DreamHack Winter 2013. Different iterations of the NAVI roster have reached the grand final of the championship four times.
- They have won first place only once, in 2021, at the PGL Major Stockholm. The team has always also advanced to the playoffs.
It is worth noting that there have been a total of 18 majors in CS:GO, and the Paris major will be the 19th. The next championship of this status will be held in March 2024 for Counter-Strike 2, and it will take place in Copenhagen, with PGL entrusted to organize it.
The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, in turn, will start on May 8th. 24 teams will compete for a prize pool of $1.25 million. The venue will be the Accor Arena with a capacity of over 20,000 spectators.
