Virtus.pro decided to play RMR with Davyd n0rb3r7 Danielyan.
The organization officially announced that n0rb3r7 would replace Alexander KaiR0N-Anashkin in group A of the European RMR for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. We remind you that the team is on the verge of exiting the event.
Reasons for the decision
In an official statement, the CEO of Virtus.pro said:
Young players do not immediately adapt to LAN pressure, especially important ones like RMR. Therefore, David will replace Alexander on the team today.
But is it so? How did KaiR0N- perform in the first two matches?
It is impossible to say that the newcomer Virtus.pro showed himself from the wrong side. KaiR0N did not become the worst Virtus.pro player in a single match, and in the game against Into the Breach, he almost saved the team, taking second place in the leaderboard with a rating of 6.6. More likely, questions arise for Alexei Qikert Golubev, who failed in two matches in a row. So far, the decision looks doubtful.
Will n0rb3r7 save the team?
The dubiousness of this decision isn’t only about KaiR0N-'s kick. The fact is that n0rb3r7 was removed from the team at the beginning of the year for a reason. The player simply does not show the statistics the team expects from him, so they stop playing with him. Therefore, the team's chances of reaching the Major will drop significantly with the replacement.
Rumors began to appear that Virtus.pro had to make this change because they wanted to go to the Major with a 3-0 record. KaiR0N's visa had the same validity period left, so the team needed a replacement. However, KaiR0N- officially denies it, saying that the reason given by the management is correct. His visa expires tomorrow, and he could participate in the 2-2 match.
It will be difficult for Virtus.pro to get to the last CS:GO Major.
Group A of the European RMR for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 takes place in Copenhagen from April 6 to 9. All information about the event is available here.
