mouz NXT advance to WePlay AL S2 LAN finals

Another team at the LAN.

The reigning WePlay Academy League champions, mouz NXT, looked to book their spot at the Season 2 LAN finals, this time against VP Prodigy, who won against fnatic Rising to make it to the group B’s winners match.

Back and forth on Vertigo, teams were never split by much as mouz NXT got to the match points first, while VP Prodigy forced an overtime two rounds later. In the end, however, it was not enough for the CIS team, as the international mix won in the overtime, “19-17” to move into the lead in the series. Going to Nuke, VP Prodigy once again showed that they are ready to play, as it was a one round lead in their favour at halftime and won the second pistol round, but mouz NXT secured nine rounds in a row to clinch their own map pick, “16-9” and the entire set, “2-0”.

Now mouz NXT are through to the LAN finals in Kyin, while VP Prodigy are going to play fnatic Rising for a better starting position in the last chance bracket for the second time in few days.
