The Ukrainian club Monte has added another championship title to their collection - this time, the team took first place in CCT Central Europe Series 5, where they faced Spirit Academy in the grand finals.
Monte were invited straight to the playoffs, and on their way to the grand finals, they defeated ECSTATIC and BIG Academy. In the round of 16, they were awarded a technical victory over 1WIN.
As for the match against Spirit Academy, Monte won 2-1, losing Nuke 10-16 but then winning on their own choice of Anubis (16-13) and on the decider Vertigo (16-9).
The MVP of the final BO3 was Viktor sdy Orudzhev with 68 frags, an average damage per round of 101, and a rating of 7.2. He also became the most effective player in terms of trades - 18 kills on trades.
At the end of the tournament, Monte became $22,000 richer. Spirit Academy, on the other hand, received $10,000. The rest of the prize pool was distributed as follows:
It is worth noting that at the end of March, Monte became champions of the European Pro League Season 6, CCT West Europe Series 2, but their main achievement was taking first place at ESL Challenger League Season 44: Europe, which earned them a spot in ESL Pro League Season 18.
