Monte changed the team's lineup

Monte sent ryu back to her academic team, Monte GEN, after a mixed performance in recent tournaments. With ryu in the lineup, Monte participated at ESL Pro League Season 19 and Global Esports Tour Rio 2024, finishing 13th-16th and 7th-8th respectively.

During his time with the team, ryu had a 5.6 rating. It is also rumored that Monte are in talks with roeJ who is supposed to replace Gizmy. However, ryu's departure leaves this replacement uncertain. Monte's Director of Cybersports, dance, commented on ryu's departure with these words:

After careful consideration, we have decided to bring ryu back to Monte Gen. Thank you, Gitis, for your hard work and dedication to the team's recent results! We wish you a bright future! Stay tuned as we will be announcing the new academy rosters and main roster soon.
