Monte Gen, an academic team launched about a month ago, is celebrating its first victory at the United21 Season 8: Division 2 online tournament. The tournament, which featured 16 teams, took place from November 21 to December 8 and offered a prize pool of $3,500.
Monte Gen dominated in Group B, defeating teams such as Team 7AM and GamerLegion Academy, then in the playoffs, they overcame SINNERS Academy but lost to Anorthosis, ending up in the lower bracket. After going through three matches in the lower bracket, the team made it to the finals, where they beat GamerLegion Academy 3:1 in a BO5 series.

The victory at United21 Season 8: Division 2 earned Monte Gen $2,000 and a slot in United21 Season 10 with a prize pool of $5,000, underscoring their success and potential for future competitions.
